Ravi Shastri, a former Indian cricket player and head coach, made headlines recently when he was seen having a conversation with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The infrastructure development of cricket in the coastal state of India was the topic of discussion between both figures.

The conversation with Shastri took place while Patnaik was in Cuttack for the ‘MoU signing’ ceremony between MGM School of Sports and ‘Coaching Beyond Cricket Academy.’

Patnaik posted the identical photo to their official X account. The CM discussed his observations after speaking with Ravi Shastri. In order to further advance the sport, he emphasized the significance of creating top-notch academies throughout the state.

Patnaik tweeted, “Glad to meet @RaviShastriOfc, the former head coach of Team India and former cricket player, who was in Odisha for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the MGM School of Sports in Cuttack, the home of the ‘Coaching Beyond’ cricket academy, and the high-performance cricket academy. We had a very productive conversation about #Odisha’s development of world-class cricket infrastructure. Thanked him for recognizing the state’s storied athletic ecosystem.”

Additionally, the state chief is seen in the photo giving Shastri the Hockey India jersey as a symbol of Odisha’s dedication to growing every sport in the region. having the conversation with someone as knowledgeable about cricket as Ravi Shastri.

The MGM Group officially opened the MGM School of Sports. The school, a cutting-edge High-Performance academy close to Cuttack, aims to develop cricket at the local level.

Through a subsidized program, the academy will prioritize providing top-notch training for up to 50 young male cricket players, with plans to expand into the women’s division as well. In addition, the academy will provide coaching programs every day for all age groups, which will aid in the growth of the sport in Odisha.
