Last year was very heartbreaking for wrestling fans when the news came out that Bray Wyatt had passed away at the age of just 36. After taking a break due to illness, there were rumors that Wyatt was potentially almost completely healthy and could return to the ring soon. Even though Bray is gone, his name will live among those he was closest with and now that Erick Rowan has re-signed with WWE, we will see that come to light soon.
Erick confirmed his signing by giving these hints
According to a report, Rowan has re-signed with the company after several weeks of rumors that said he could return. So possibly he can be a part of the Wyatt homage as planned by WWE. Due to teasing that Uncle Howdy would soon return to WWE TV and potentially bring others with him, “Erick Redbeard” canceled all of his upcoming independent dates, confirming more that he had signed with a known promotion.
It’s unclear when we’ll see Rowan back in the WWE ring. Howdy’s teasers have been on the rise and are appearing on basically all WWE programming, including NXT. There are speculations that Rowan could be the new leader of the Wyatt family, which includes the members of the old Wyatt family. Rowan, along with Braun Strowman, will be a part of it, especially since The Monster Among Men returned to TV during the draft, and there’s an outside chance that Alexa Bliss is set to take over the role.
Rowan appeared on AEW a few times
Rowan sided with the late Luke Harper during his initial WWE stint following his split from The Wyatt Family and eventually became the bodyguard of Daniel Bryan. The weirdest thing he did before his release was use a giant fake spider to torment people. The spider was destroyed by Drew McIntyre, so The Scottish Warrior might want to watch his back whenever Rowan decides to return.

Rowan has been wrestling as Erick Redbeard since his release from WWE and has been making a few appearances in AEW as well. He wrestled two matches there after making a cameo during the Harper/Brodie Lee tribute show. As far as a potential Wyatt tribute in WWE, if done properly, it could be something special. With Rowan and Wyatt’s own brother, we are hoping to see everything live up to expectations.
