On Sunday, March 17, in advance of the 17th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, captain Sanju Samson practised his strokes while Yuzvendra Chahal had a ball at the Rajasthan Royals nets.
In a mocking video posted to social media by the Rajasthan Royals, Chahal was seen praising Samson during a practice. “Brought to you by his Chintu, Sanju’s hype man behind the nets,” the former IPL champions captioned the photo.
Samson was not selected to participate in the 2023 ODI World Cup because India selected KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan as their two wicketkeepers. The batter from Kerala will try to convince people that he should be included in the Indian team for the 2024 T20 World Cup, which is set to take place in June. If he plays well at bat in the IPL 2024, he might be called up to the starting lineup for the big game.

With an average of 30.17 and a strike rate of 153.39, the right-handed batter scored 362 runs in 14 matches during the 2023 Indian Premier League. The Royals, who finished at No. 5 in the standings, were led by him and just missed out on a postseason trip.
On Sunday, March 24, the Rajasthan-based team will play at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur against the Lucknow Super Giants. There will be a lot of heat and humidity when the players arrive for this afternoon’s match.
The Royals lead the Super Giants in their head-to-head match by a narrow margin of 2-1. These two teams only played one other in Jaipur last year.
