UFC fighters Belal Muhammad and Colby Covington’s rivalry knows no bounds as the two keep going after each other despite there being no fight scheduled between them. Covington called Belal a ‘p****’, and that’s when the new UFC Welterweight champion countered back at his achievements. “Remember the name” called Colby’s attempt at a title shot a joke. He believes “Chaos” will never get a chance to become champion. After Colby threatened to confront Belal in person, Muhammad became more desperate to face him in the UFC octagon.
Colby is not happy with the new welterweight champion
Bully B defeated Leon Edwards at UFC 304 to become the new Welterweight champion. Belal and Edwards were both on undefeated streaks leading to this matchup. History was made when Muhammad defeated Rocky” by unanimous decision. Now the UFC has a new champion. However, it seems that a few welterweight contenders don’t want to see Bully B, as a champion. Colby Covington verbally attacked Bully B calling him a ‘p****.’
In an interview with Submission Radio, Covington claimed that Belal just got lucky with Leon Edwards and that if ‘Chaos’ would face him he won’t be the champion anymore. “I would love to fight him, I hope that fight happens. I’ll do whatever it takes to get to that,” said Covington. Chaos is confident that he can defeat the new champion and compared Belal’s fight against Vicente Luque. Although Leon lost his last fight to former champion Leon Edwards, he believes in his abilities, which will turn things around for him and defeat the new champion.
Bully B wants to confront Chaos face to face
Muhammad quickly hit back at Covington’s statement in a recent interview with MMA Junkie. He highlighted Covington’s 0-3 title defense record and claimed he would never become the welterweight champion. Bully B said that he needed only one shot to become the champion, while Chaos needed three. According to “Remember the name,” Colby can never touch gold. He urged Covington to keep talking. He also responded to Colby’s threat and said that he would confront him in person.
“I beg you to let me meet you in public,” said Belal. The welterweight champion hopes that Colby rises in the welterweight rankings so he can get another title shot against him.
