For the past few years, the women’s division in WWE has been growing rapidly and Bayley is one of the key stars in making that happen. She has also received some unexpected help along the way, with WWE legend John Cena giving her crucial advice at one point in her career. Throughout his career, Cena has consistently excelled and has often been praised for giving back to the industry. Whether it’s stopping by to watch matches or offering advice to those looking for advice, he has helped stars like Cody Rhodes and Becky Lynch.
Very few wrestlers have reached Cena’s heights in this business. This gives him a different perspective on wrestling and how WWE operates, which is something very few people understand. Recently, during an interview with US Weekly, Bayley revealed that John Cena gave her advice during her career.
Cena’s valuable advice to Bayley
When Bayley asked Cena if there was something missing in the women’s division or something in particular that she should work on, the question turned into a long-hour conversation and came down to storytelling.
The 16-time world champion told her about how the most important factor is storytelling. Cena advised Bayley to don’t think about what they want, what you want, or what he wants. It’s just about storytelling.
“He wants to give back in a way that not everybody does. He has such unique information that he can share. It brings us back to why we got into it. Having him around to have conversations has been really great,” said Bayley.
Bayley, the current WWE Women’s Champion, has obviously taken Cena’s words to heart and turned them into a positive for herself. Given that he will be active through 2025, current WWE stars are likely to benefit from his advice moving forward.
Cena is set to retire from WWE in 2025
Cena has had a stunning wrestling career and he has since moved to Hollywood, where he became a bigger star as well. But WWE is still Cena’s first home and that’s why he has planned to dedicate the entire 2025 to it and make his retirement tour memorable for fans. During Money in the Bank 2024, “The Cenation Leader” announced that he will retire at the end of next year. He has confirmed his appearance at some of the major events, including Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania.
