The biggest premium event of the year, WrestleMania XL, is finally over. This was arguably the biggest WrestleMania of all time and one to remember for a lifetime. The event featured big matches like The Rock and Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, a six-pack ladder match, Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch, Reigns vs. Rhodes and more. The biggest event of the year always brings some part-timers and even those who are full-timers need a break to properly heal from the pain and exhaustion. There are a few superstars who are going to do this now. In this article, we will take a look at four superstars who might take a long hiatus from television.
Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch is one of the greatest female performers in the history of WWE. She has headlined WrestleMania and won world titles just like her husband, Seth Rollins. “The Man” has broken down many barriers and changed the game for women wrestling in the company. Lynch had a big match at WrestleMania 40 too, against Rhea Ripley. Both women gave great entertainment to the audience and proved why they are currently the best in the company. Ultimately, The Eradicator won and Becky didn’t appear on last Monday night’s RAW. It is still unclear whether she will sign a new contract with the company. It is possible she might take a break for her book tour and mother duties.
Gunther
Gunther is one of the most talented performers in the company. He has mastered pro wrestling, which can be seen during his matches. His great talent led him to become the Intercontinental Champion. He was the champion for almost two years but finally lost his title on Saturday at WrestleMania Night One. It was Sami Zayn who pinned him to ultimately win the Intercontinental Championship. “The Ring General” didn’t appear on Monday night RAW, which could be a sign that he might take a break. There is also a possibility that, after the loss, he is planning his next move.
Seth Rollins
Seth “Freakin” Rollins has won several world titles in WWE and has headlined WrestleMania. He has been a major figure in the wrestling industry. Rollins also played an important part at WrestleMania 40, fighting alongside Cody Rhodes against The Rock and Roman Reigns. He also faced Drew McIntyre but lost his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Later on, he went on to play a bigger role in the event.
Seth appeared with his former team’s look (The Shield) in order to help Cody win against Roman. After the match, Rollins was seen limping, which is one of the reasons he might take a long break from television. Over the past year, he has battled numerous injuries, so he needs a proper rest. Secondly, there is also some issue with his contract, which is not finished yet.
Roman Reigns
The Head of the Stable was part of two major matches at WrestleMania 40. His first match was on Night One Saturday, where he and The Rock defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in an iconic tag team match. Reigns’ second match took place on the second night of WrestleMania (Sunday). “The Tribal Chief had to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal championship against “The American Nightmare.” In the end, it was Cody who stood up and Reigns lost his title nearly after four years. “The Big Dog” has already been a part timer for years now, so it is very unlikely that he will appear on the shows in the coming weeks. It is not clear when Roman will be returning, as his historic title run just ended, so he might take a long break now.
