WWE Superstar Grayson Waller has recently talked about his unsanctioned match against Johnny Gargano at NXT Stand & Deliver and said that he has unfinished business with him. Prior to joining the main roster, Waller did not have a good relationship with NXT showrunner Shawn Michaels. HBK chose the fight between Gargano and Waller in a no-sanctions match. In preparation for the encounter, the Australian also visited Gargano’s home, but unfortunately he lost the match, and the former NXT Champion got the last laugh.
Waller couldn’t sleep after the match
In an interview with Die Woche, Grayson opened up about the match and stated that he couldn’t sleep after the defeat. He said, “That really hurt and sucked. When you go to unsanctioned matches, those are not fun. I didn’t sleep that night, and I didn’t even sleep on the plane home. I said many terrible things about Johnny Gargano, the guy is legit. That man is the same man in many ways. He made me pay for a lot of things, and I can’t wait to see the day he regrets those decisions”.
Waller also said that he has unfinished business and hopes to have a match like that on the main roster some day. He wants a bout between him and Gargano in front of a bigger audience. Grayson was last seen in action during the Battle Royale at Summerslam. He has a talk show called “The Grayson Waller Effect,” which allowed him to work with some of the biggest WWE stars like Edge, AJ Styles, and John Cena.
Waller is now involved in a feud with The Rock
The 33-year-old has recently involved himself in a feud with The Rock too. They had a spat on Twitter, and later Waller said that he would be more than happy to give Dwayne Johnson a Waller rub and invited him to the talk Show. From using pillowcases to mocking his antics in the ring, Grayson continues to provoke the stars. The Veteran has not responded to the invitation yet, but if The Rock returns to WWE to face Waller, it will be an interesting matchup.
