In the past few months, a lot of changes have been made in the WWE’s championship department that includes introducing new titles and renaming some old ones. Now the company is planning to introduce some changes to the tag team titles as well. The Uso brothers unified the RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Championships last May after defeating Randy Orton and Matt Riddle. The pair held the titles for a long time before Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens dethroned them at WrestleMania 39.
Triple H brought several changes to the company
Finn Balor and Damian Priest are the current Tag team champions, and because of this, they are in action on both Raw and SmackDown. While Vince McMahon was adamant about unifying all the gold, things changed under Triple H’s rule as he introduced the World Heavyweight Championship. He also brought changes to the Women’s RAW and SmackDown championships. Now it looks like The Game will be bringing to the tag team gold as well.
Currently Judgement Day holds the titles
According to a report, the Undisputed Tag Team Titles will be split very soon. Once WWE finalizes the split of the championships, a new set of tag titles will be presented on the screen. All members of Judgement Day currently walk around carrying gold. The team has strongly established themselves as the top faction in WWE. New challengers have emerged for them in the recent edition of SmackDown in the form of Bobby Lashley. The All Mighty has been gaining limelight since joining The Street Profits and faced the Judgement Day.
The former WWE Champion aims for the top spot
Lashley made it clear that they are aiming for the top spot. When it comes to leading a faction, the 47-year-old is no stranger. Bobby brought The Hurt Business to the top of the company and has the experience and talent needed to repeat the same with The Street Profits.
