Since Solo Sikoa took over the role of Tribal Chief after WrestleMania 40, he has been adding new members to the bloodline. This has led Sikoa to the WWE Undisputed title match at SummerSlam. Until then, he will have another bloodline member in the group. Former New Japan star Hikuleo has now signed with WWE, which means there is a possibility that wrestling fans could see him at the PLE or even before that.
Hikuleo will debut with another name
Hikuleo’s arrival in the Stamford-based promotion has been expected for quite some time, he fought his last match in New Japan a month and a half ago. It was reported a few days ago that the details of his deal have now been finalized and that another member of the Samoan dynasty is now a WWE superstar. It is unlikely that he will keep the name Hikuleo after debuting.
When Hikuleo finished working with New Japan, WWE filed a trademark for the name Talla Tonga. There is a chance that this name is saved for someone else, but given Hikuleo’s familial ties to the members of The Bloodline who have already been launched in WWE, it is likely that the name will be used for him. Hikuleo is the brother of Tama Tonga, so it makes sense to introduce him as Tama’s brother.
Hikuleo might help Sikoa win the title at SummerSlam
Aside from a few appearances in AEW and TNA, Hikuleo has only wrestled in New Japan and has done a pretty good job while he’s been there. After three tag team title runs and one strong openweight championship to his name, this will be the first time Hikuleo will compete in WWE. Jacob Fatu is the newest member of The Bloodline until Hikuleo debuts, but not like Tonga Loa, as he wrestled as “Camacho” a decade ago, but WWE seemed to forget that when they signed him.
With rumors of Roman Reigns returning any day now, it will be quite interesting to see how Hikuleo is introduced in the Bloodline. If WWE plans to make The Bloodline help Sikoa win the title at SummerSlam, with Hikuleo being the one to push Sikoa across the line, then having Reigns put an end to their celebration on SmackDown will be an interesting way to bring back the former champion.
