The sex trafficking case, including Vince McMahon and WWE, is taking new turns continuously and new names are being added day by day. As the allegations hit more executives within the company, the latest development names WWE president Nick Khan and COO Brad Blum’s names surfaced in the lawsuit filed against the company, McMahon and former executive John Laurinaitis.
Khan joined WWE in 2020
Fans may not be familiar with Blum’s name, but Nick Khan has become well known for the record-breaking financial success experienced by WWE in recent years. Khan is known for his billion-dollar deals. He joined WWE as chairman in 2020. He reports to TKO President Mark Shapiro and answers to Hollywood power broker Ari Emanuel, who took over the role of TKO President following McMahon’s resignation in January.
Plaintiff Janelle Grant alleges that Nick and Blum played a key role in facilitating and covering up the exploitation. The lawsuit says that McMahon groomed Grant into a non-existent legal role, then subjected him to extreme cruelty and humiliation. Blum and Khan were introduced by Vince as his chief fixers. A WWE spokesperson said they take the allegations seriously, noting that Khan and Blum were unaware of any misconduct allegations prior to the lawsuit. Meanwhile, McMahon and Laurinaitis deny the claims against them.
The company has achieved great success under Khan
Khan and Blum were reportedly given details of the relationship between Grant and McMahon, with both expressing concerns about whether he could be trusted. Under Khan’s leadership, WWE has achieved great success by signing a $5.2 billion deal with Netflix and generating revenue of $1.326 billion in 2023. WWE and UFC have a market cap of approximately $14 billion under TKO, with WrestleMania nearing its 40th annual event in Philadelphia. If Khan turns out to be involved, then he will be removed from his role in the WWE.
