Vince McMahon’s life has always been full of controversies and this year he found himself in trouble after Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against him for sex trafficking. Even those closest to him have refrained from openly supporting him, while many have condemned his actions. However, amid all this, there is one WWE legend who has kind words for the former CEO of WWE even after the horrible allegation. The WWE legend is none other than Mick Foley.
Foley praised Vince for his good deeds
The Attitude Era star said that he has seen Vince McMahon do good things and wants to thank him for giving him a chance in WWE. Foley made these comments at the recent Comic-Con Northern Island. There he was asked about the new docuseries on Netflix, which is expected to shed light on Vince McMahon’s career in the wrestling industry. Foley said that he really likes Vince McMahon, even though the relationship between him and Vince has never been the same after he left WWE and moved to TNA for three years. However, he said that he is still trying to find the address to write a letter to Vince McMahon and thank him for giving him a chance in WWE.
Foley added that he has indeed seen McMahon do things in his life. “I think all of us are a combination of good traits and bad traits and you hope your good traits outweigh your bad traits and it seems, perhaps, that Vince got it backward there for a little while. But I have also been there when he’s done good things. I have seen him do good things,” said Foley.
“The Hardcore Legend” said that he feels bad that the man he knew so well got embroiled in something that seems pretty unpleasant. So he chose to appreciate him until he learns more about what might have happened.
Vince McMahon is getting backlash worldwide
The sex trafficking trial has tarnished Vince McMahon’s reputation more than ever. He is facing massive criticism not just from WWE fans but from the world over for his alleged actions as chairman over the last three decades of his career. Today, the company he built has shut its door on him as Vince is not allowed to enter WWE headquarters. The company doesn’t want him back and the upcoming docuseries will tell many things about the former WWE Chairman.
