WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, who is also known as “The Nature Boy,” seems to have truly lived up to his gimmick in real life. He has often bragged about his love of women, partying and extravagance. His playboy image has contributed to his several marriages and divorces over the years. Now another name is added to his divorce list as Ric Flair has announced his divorce from his current wife, Wendy Barlow.
Flair has been married five times
Ric Flair announced his separation from his wife Wendy Barlow after 13 years together, including six years of marriage. “The Nature Boy” made this announcement on social media on September 23, 2024. Flair mentioned that although they had experienced ups and downs like any couple, they had decided to respectfully separate.
He expressed deep gratitude for Wendy’s unwavering support, especially during his health crisis in 2017, when he suffered serious medical problems including kidney failure and multiple organ complications. He admitted that their busy schedules were one of the reasons for the separation, with both working on separate projects, which made it difficult to maintain the relationship. Flair wished her the best of luck and said he would always treasure the memories they shared.
Flair’s lifestyle contributed to the end of his many marriages
Ric Flair clearly doesn’t do things like normal people. He has been married five times and his every divorce has made headlines, especially because his personal life is very similar to his professional persona in that he indulges in excess and extravagance. “The Nature Boy” first married Leslie Goodman in 1971 and after thirteen years the couple decided to separate. His second marriage with Elizabeth Harrell (1983-2006) lasted till twenty-three years, then they eventually decided to get divorced in 2006. Then Flair married Tiffany VanDeMark (2006-2009) and Jackie Beems (2009-2014). Flair has admitted in the past that his lifestyle, which included infidelity, contributed to the end of his several marriages. Despite his ‘playboy’ personality, Flair has regretted the impact his lifestyle had on his personal life, especially his relationship with his children, including Charlotte Flair.
