Wrestling superstar Bobby Lashley is no longer a part of WWE. He was released from the company on August 16, 2024. There is also no official word on Lashley’s next move, although there are rumors of him moving to AEW with his WWE teammates, MVP and Shelton Benjamin. As a WWE fan, no one knows what kind of person Lashley is. However, a former WWE executive has recently revealed that “The Dominator” is a complicated individual. Hall of Famer Jim Ross has revealed this information.
Lashley is a complex guy according to Ross
The wrestling commentator revealed this in the latest episode of the Grilling JR podcast. Ross didn’t say anything negative about Bobby Lashley, but he did say that the former WWE Champion thinks too much about things, which makes him a complex person.
“Bobby is hard to understand, he is a complex guy. He is a different cat. He is smart and sometimes smart people tend to overthink things. If Bobby’s not in overthink mode, of which I have no idea, I haven’t talked to him in years—if he approaches that way, he’ll do good,” said Jim Ross.
Bobby Lashley is rumored to move to AEW
Ross said that Bobby Lashley is desirable because he has a lot of skills, which makes him in demand in the market. He further stated that either TNA’s Scott D’Amore or AEW could use him. There have been rumors that AEW is Bobby Lashley’s next destination, where he is expected to debut alongside MVP and Shelton Benjamin. Rumors about this have gained momentum as MVP has trademarked several stages and names for wrestling use, while Totally Harmless Concept LLC has applied to the Trademark “The Hurt Syndicate.

This would be similar to WWE’s Hurt Business faction, which did well for almost two years before disbanding in 2022. MVP had previously said that Triple H had no interest in reviving that group and said he was the reason for that faction splitting up.
