The Boston Celtics will face the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday. They have only one player on the injury list, center Kristaps Porzingis, who will be out for the upcoming game. The Bucks are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 25-12. Porzingis is dealing with a right knee injury he suffered before facing the Timberwolves. Boston is cautious with him and the scope of his injury has not been clearly mentioned. “KP6” missed the first game of the Celtics’ back-to-back night schedule. He will likely return to their lineup soon as the Celtics look to play for the Bucks for the second time this season.
Despite Kristaps’ unavailability, Boston was able to pull out a tough win against the number-one seed in the Western Conference. They overcame a double-digit deficit with a 12-3 run at the end of the fourth quarter to force overtime. Jayson Tatum led the team in overtime, scoring five consecutive points in less than a minute and ultimately finishing with 45 points, four rebounds and two assists.
Kristaps has been regularly on team’s injury report

Porzingis has been regularly on the Celtics injury list. On Saturday, he was hit over the right eye while trying to block Aaron Nesmith’s shot and left the game. He played despite eye irritation in their rematch against the Indiana Pacers, finishing with 19 points, five rebounds, seven assists and three blocks. However, the center suffered an injury to his right knee. The nature of his knee injury is currently unknown.
The center has been great for the Celtics this season

“The Unicorn” has averaged 19 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in 17 games against Milwaukee, which is the same as his career averages. His career high has been tied with 26 points against the Bucks, where his net ratings were +20 and +17, respectively. Porzingis has been impactful for the Celtics this season, both on offense and defense. He has established his skills and shows confidence while making open shots, which makes him a great scoring option for the team.
