WI vs IND 4th T20I Highlights: The fourth T20I between India & West Indies was no less than a thriller as India’s openers stitched a match-winning performance to beat the hosts by 9 wikcets on the grounds of Florida, USA. On the back of their victory, Men in Blue leveled the series by 2-2 with the final T20I of the series to be played on the 13th of August.
After batting first, Windies posted a decent total of 178-8 in their alotted 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant knock by Shai Hope (45 off 29) and Shimron Hetmyer (61 off 39). Arsheep Singh (3/38) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/26) were the pick of the bowlers for India.
In reply, India had to be proficient right from the beginning of their chase. And with a lack of experienced batting order, it looked like an impossible task. But Youngsters kept their word by displaying their best performance. Openers Yashasvi (84* 51) & Gill’s (77*) remarkable 165-run stand did the trick for India & helped India to win the fixture within 17 overs. Yashasvi received ‘Player of the Match’ for his outstanding performance.

- Arshdeep Singh bounce back to form with the ball
After being smashed all across the ground in the third T20I, Arshdeep switched gears & returned back to form by scalping 3-38 in his spell of four overs. The left-arm seamer picked up the wickets of Kyle Mayers, Brandon King, and well-set Shimron Hetmyer to restrict Windies run-flow in the first innings. It was his efforts that helped to wind up host innings at 178 run-mark.
2. Shimron Hetmyer found his lost mojo back
After failing to get going with his willow in his last five T20I innings, Hetmyer finally hit the mark by stitching a fifty & ended up scoring 61 runs off 39 balls to help Windies end on a decent total. His innings were embellished with three fours & four sixes.
3. Yashasvi Jaiswal & Shubman Gill’s record-breaking stand
The duo stitched a massive 165-run stand for the first wicket & helped India win the game with their lone efforts. They stitched a record-breaking opening stand for India in T20Is in a tie with KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma’s feat from 2017 against Sri Lanka. The duo timed their shots perfectly & ran well between the wickets to achieve this rare feat. They coordinated well to give team India a perfect left-right combination at the top order.
Shubman Gill & Yashasvi Jaiswal will aim to continue the same performance in the series decider to be played on Sunday at the same venue.
Team India will take forward the positives from today’s fixture in the fifth T20I & will aim of clinching the T20I series as well. On the other hand, West Indies will try to bounce back & take a lead in the series in order to save their prestige. Who will succeed in their motive is what will be known tomorrow on the grounds of Florida.
