The last time fans saw Georges St-Pierre in the UFC octagon was in 2017 in a match against Michael Bisping, where Georges won by submission. It seems that fans have to wait a little longer to see him compete in a grappling match. The MMA reporter for TSN, Aaron Bronstetter, took to his X account, where he reported that the UFC Hall of Famer will no longer compete on the UFC Fight Pass invitation card this December. He also stated that both the former two-division UFC champion and his opponent have suffered injuries and that their grappling match will be postponed.
He wrote: “Just spoke with Georges St-Pierre, who revealed that he had agreed to face Nick Diaz in his grappling bout at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational in December…Unfortunately, both suffered injuries recently and it has been postponed.”

Who will be St-Pierre’s opponent ?
Bronstetter, who spoke to St-Pierre after being inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame class of 2023, also revealed that his opponent was no stranger to him as it was determined to be his former foe Nick Diaz. The former welterweight king announced his return to the sport last July and named “El Diablo” as a potential opponent but nothing was made official.
GSP revealed about his injury
Following his induction, the Hall of Famer revealed in an interview that he had suffered a minor injury and that December would be very soon to fight. It remains to be seen when the Georges St-Pierre vs Nick Diaz match will be rescheduled. If we talk about Diaz, the last time he ever fought in a MMA match was in 2021, when he lost to Robbie Lawler. The bout was contested at middleweight and lasted five rounds. Diaz was knocked down by punches in the third round but was given a chance to return to his feet. He stayed down and verbally submitted, resulting in a TKO loss.
