Aamir Jamal has come up as a first-choice all-round option for Pakistan’s Test team. However, it was not too long when Jamal made his debut in the longest format of Cricket. After showing his capabilities in the second Test, Amir displayed his A game in the third & final Test of the series at SCG. Batting at No 9 Jamal scored 82 runs off 97 balls with nine fours & four sixes. Jamal registered his fifty in 71 balls to frustrate the Australian bowlers. He went on to score 86 runs along with Mir Hamza & guided Pakistan over the 300-run mark. Finally, Pakistan was able to end their innings at 313 in 77.1 overs.

He played most of his cricket in Rawalpindi beginning his domestic career in 2013 with inter-region Under-19 and departmental Under-19 tournaments. Notably, Jamal has yet to play an ODI fixture but has played in T20Is for Pakistan. He made his debut on September 28, 2022, in a domestic format.
