Former WWE Superstar Sid Vicious passed away tragically on August 26, Monday, at the age of 63. His son took to Facebook to inform the wrestling fans about his demise in an emotional post. Fans expressed immense shock that Vicious died at just the age of 63. Many people don’t know that he was battling a long illness. He was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called chondrosarcoma. In 2020, “Sycho Kid” revealed that he has been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer and he is now battling the disease. After fighting for four years, Vicious passed away on Monday.
Sid Vicious’ son, Gunnar Eudy, posted an emotional message on social media after the passing of his father. “In memory of my father, Sid Eudy. Dear friends and family, I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years. He was a man of strength, kindness and love, and his presence will be greatly missed. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we mourn this loss,” wrote Gunnar.
Wrestling community expressed their grief on demise of Vicious
The professional wrestling world has already lost many WWE legends so far this year, including the father of The Wild Samoans and uncle of Roman Reigns, Sika Anoa’i.
The professional wrestling community and famous wrestlers have posted a memorial in the memory of Vicious. WWE and WCW legend Sting, who was once a big rival of Sid, while tweeting stated that Vicious was one of the most believable big men of all time and he loved working with him. Former WWE champion Booker T also tweeted and revealed how he and his brother would have never made it to WCW without Sid Vicious. “His impact on the business was undeniable, and he paved the way for so many for us. My deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time,” wrote Booker T.

Sid Vicious’ original name is Sidney Raymond Eudy and he was also known by Sycho Sid. He had an illustrious wrestling career and won major wrestling world titles six times. Vicious has had several notable feuds in WWE and WCW with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Sting, Shawn Michaels and more. He also main evented WrestleMania 8 and WrestleMania 13. On June 25, 2012, on the 1000th edition of Monday Night Raw, Sid Vicious made a surprise return and confronted Heath Slater and defeated him in a match. This was his first WWE appearance since 1997. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest wrestling legends.
