In a heartwarming gesture of sportsmanship, Virat Kohli has gifted a signed jersey to Babar Azam after India’s gleaming win over the arch-rivals in the ODI World Cup 2023 fixture held on 14th October 2023 in Ahmedabad.
Babar Azam’s fan-boy moment happened after the IND vs PAK fixture. While Indian players celebrated their win, Virat was seen having a heartfelt conversation with Babar. And during the conversation, Babar who is an admirer of King Kohli requested a signed jersey from the former India captain. In a heartfelt gesture, Virat Kohli accepted Babar’s request & handed him his specially signed jersey.

Babar & Kohli’s camaraderie goes beyond this act of sportsmanship. The two biggies of World Cricket have publicly admired each other on various occasions. Babar once expressed his support for Kohli during his rough patch when the prolific captain wrote, “This too shall pass” on social media. On the other hand, Virat never leaves any opportunity to applaud & praise Pakistan’s Captain. Their mutual respect showcases the spirit of cricket that transcends borders.

India’s unbeaten run in ODI World Cup 2023 Continues
In a zealous match at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Indian bowlers displayed spectacular performance bowling out Pakistan at just 191 runs. Later the batting order capitalized on their bowling performance with Rohit Sharma playing an incredible innings of 86 along with the valuable support of Shreyas Iyer who returned with 53 runs. The duo assault helped India surpass the target in just 30.3 overs securing their third win in a row.
Bowlers Shine for India to Outclass Pakistan
Indian bowling attack got the better of India by scalping wickets right from the first over. Bumrah (2-19), Siraj (2-50), Kuldeep (2-35), Hardik Pandya (2-34), & Ravindra Jadeja (2-35) rattling Pakistan’s batting order. The Men iN green succumbed from 155 for 2 to 191 all out in 42.5 overs. Idnia’s unbeaten record against Pakistan in the ODI World Cups continues with the records coming to 8-0.
Babar Azam who was happy after receiving Virat’s autographed jersey was disheartened by Pakistan’s poor batting performance. He cited the batting collapse as the main reason for Pakistan’s defeat in the crucial IND vs PAK clash. Coming to their innings, they got off to a stable start with Shafique & Imam registering a 41-run stand for the first wicket. However, Indian bowlers moved both of them reducing Pakistan to 73-2 in 13 overs. Later Babar Azam (5) & Mohammed Rizwan (49) stabilized Pakistan’s innings. But then occurred a collapse for Pakistan who lost 8 wickets for 36 runs reducing Pakistan from 155-2 to 191 all out.
