Vince McMahon is one of the most popular business tycoons worldwide because of the controversies he is surrounded by most of the time. Vince McMahon retired from WWE in 2022, but when he spoke on the Netflix docuseries “Mr. McMahon” that he would never retire in his life, this surprised many people. However, in July 2022, when his hush money scandal came to light, he had to backtrack and announce his retirement.
However, he returned to WWE six months later, removed his daughter from the post of chairman and sold the company to Endeavor Group. But it is worth noting that McMahon had told the showmakers that he would never retire. But fate forced him to do so just two months later. The former WWE chairman can be seen talking about his retirement in the Netflix show, which is based on his life.
Why does Vince hates people who want to retire?
In fact, Vince expressed his dislike for people who think about retirement in their lives. He stated that a person’s growth stops after retirement, and thus he will never retire in his life.
“Taking a step back, do I ever see myself retiring? No, I don’t see myself ever retiring. I never understood why people stopped growing. When you stop growing, you die. Some people are like I want to retire one day- What will you do when you retire? I have no sympathy for people like that, so go die,” said Vince McMahon.
McMahon went to hiding after sex trafficking case was filed against him
Vince came out of his retirement in January 2023 but had to go into hiding when former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a sex trafficking lawsuit against him this year in January. She accused him of raping her on multiple occasions and trafficking her to other men in the company. The recently released documentary is being considered a nightmare for the former WWE chairman, as it exposes several of his scandals. A day before the release of the Netflix docuseries, Vince accused the show’s producers of creating a “misleading narrative” around his image.

A latest report also surfaced that claimed that Vince McMahon tried to buy the series from Netflix, but the streaming platform didn’t allow it. When McMahon saw the first footage of the show, he knew it would tarnish his image, so he never wanted the docuseries to be released and shed light.
