Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has finally spoken up after being silent for several months. He disappeared from the public eye completely after a former WWE employee, Janel Grant, filed a sex trafficking lawsuit against him. A few weeks back, a docuseries by Netflix was announced, which is set to be released on September 25, 2024. This docuseries finally made Vince share a statement. Reacting to this, McMahon has criticized the producers for using editing tricks to distort the audience’s perception and fabricate a misleading narrative against him.
McMahon posted his statement on social media
Vince McMahon posted an official statement just before the release of the docuseries “Mr. McMahon,” accusing the Netflix producers of trying to portray him in a bad light. The former WWE Chairman stated he has no regrets about participating in the show but instead blames the producers for making his character look the same, saying the title and promos make it clear.
“Unfortunately, based on an early partial cut I’ve seen, this doc falls short and takes the predictable path of conflating the “Mr. McMahon” character with my true self, Vince. The title and promos alone make that evident,” wrote Vince.
The former chairman criticized the producers of docuseries
Vince further stated that a lot has been misrepresented and omitted entirely to deliberately confuse viewers. The former chairman said that the producers use conspicuous editing tricks with out-of-context footage and dated soundbites, etc to distort viewer perception and support a misleading narrative. He went on to say, “In an attempt to further their misleading account, the producers use a lawsuit based on an affair I ended as evidence that I am, in fact, “Mr. McMahon”.”

Vince McMahon has urged people to keep an open mind while watching the series and remember that there are two sides to a story. Many believe that this documentary is going to put the final nail in Vince McMahon’s coffin. He has already received heavy criticism from WWE fans for his predatory behavior with his female employees, which many believe has been going on for decades. Vince has been accused of several sexual crimes in the past, which were hushed up. However, he may not be able to escape this lawsuit unscathed.
