Cricketer Virat Kohli, the star Indian batter, will be a major component for the Indian side in the next ODI World Cup, which begins on October 5 in Ahmedabad. India played two important competitions in the recent year, the Asia Cup and the T20I World Cup, with Kohli playing outstanding cricket in both events and finishing as India’s leading run-scorer. He has already produced under duress and is expected to do so again in the upcoming worldwide event.
Meanwhile, speaking about his development as a player, former Royal Challengers Bangalore colleague AB de Villiers remarked that Kohli learns from his coaches and teammates. The former South African captain went on to say that Mark Boucher was instrumental in moulding Kohli when he was younger and that he can’t wait to see him achieve amazing things in the ODI World Cup.
Ab De Villiers on cricketer Virat Kohli:
He stated, “I believe that everyone matures with age. As you progress, you learn a lot from experienced players and realise that they are not only your opponents but also calm and comfortable people. Virat is astute, and he has learned from both coaches and teammates.”
Mark Boucher played an important role at RCB when Virat was younger, and I hope I had a positive influence on him as a friend. He’s found the proper balance, and I can’t wait to watch him achieve great things for Team India in the World Cup,” AB de Villiers remarked on his YouTube account.
Meanwhile, Kohli is yet to demonstrate his talent in the ongoing Asia Cup. In the match against Pakistan, he was out to Shaheen Shah Afridi and did not bat against Nepal. India will face Pakistan in the competition’s Super 4, which is an excellent opportunity for him to come up and produce like he did in the previous edition of the T20I World Cup.
