It has recently come to light that former Karnataka cricketer all-rounder K Hoysala (34) tragically died of a heart attack during a match in the ongoing Aegis South Zone competition. The incident took place during Karnataka’s league match against Tamil Nadu at the RSI cricket venue in Bengaluru. As the team celebrated Karnataka’s victory, Hoysala collapsed on the field due to severe chest pain.
After the game, he was having dinner with his teammates. The Karnataka pacer suddenly passed out on the field, and before the medical staff could reach him, he needed CPR. During treatment, the all-round player was responding, but on the way to the hospital, he passed away. His family was informed of the incident while he was being taken to the hospital.
Karnataka cricketer demise shocks everyone:
Regretfully, he died from a heart attack while being taken to Bowring Hospital in Bengaluru by emergency medical personnel. The public learned of this horrific incident on February 23, the evening of February 22. On Thursday, February 22, it took place. Hoysala was a middle-order batsman and bowler for Karnataka’s under-25 team. He also took part in matches in the Karnataka Premier League.
According to Dr Manoj Kumar, dean of Bowring Hospital and Atal Bihari Medical College, the cricket player was brought in dead. The autopsy’s outcome is not yet known. “Hoysala was brought in dead, primarily from a heart attack,” he stated. We are awaiting the report after finishing the postmortem.”
However, cardiac arrest during a cricket match has happened to cricket players before. Notably, on January 26 of this year, 20-year-old cricket player Suhaib Yaseen passed away just after he started his run-up to bowl.
Before that, 34-year-old Mavericks 11 batsman Vikas Negi passed out while batting on the field. He shook hands with his teammate Umesh Kumar, who is not a striker and was making his way back to the striker’s end when he stumbled and died.
