USA Basketball unveiled its 2024 USA Basketball Men’s National Team on April 17th. The team will participate in the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, which will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
Grant Hill, managing director of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team, chose the squad, and the USA Basketball Board of Directors gave its approval.
There are fifty-six All-NBA picks on the team. 83 appearances as All-Stars. NBA championships totalled fourteen. Eight MVP honours. Nine MVPs in the Finals. Twenty-nine awards for all-defence. Ten gold medals from the Olympics.
Even though the majority of the best American players committed, Grant Hill found it challenging to choose just twelve players. He looked for a mix of size, length, versatility, offence, defence, and strength to match up with any team the United States would face at the Olympics, particularly France, Australia, Serbia, Canada, Germany, and possibly Spain and Lithuania if those two teams advance.
Grant Hill on assembling the Dream Team for Olympics 2024
“It’s privilege to introduce the 2024 USA Basketball Men’s National Team,” Grant Hill said, “I admire these 12 men’s dedication towards representing USA Basketball.” Some of the world’s best basketball players call the United States home, so I appreciate the great enthusiasm in joining this team. Although making the goal and following the method was not easy, it was enjoyable.
Lebron James Returns to Olympics for Paris 2024
James returns to the Olympic stage eight years after taking home the gold medal with Team USA in Rio 2016. James, who ranks third among Americans all-time in Olympic scoring with 273 points, will be competing in his fourth Games and first since 2012.
In addition to his 2004 Olympic debut in bronze, he won gold in 2008 and 2012. James also has a gold medal from the 2007 FIBA Tournament of the Americans.
Kevin Durant can achieve Olympic History in Paris

When Durant hits the floor in Paris, he has the opportunity to create history. He could become the first player to earn a fourth gold medal in men’s basketball. He and Carmelo Anthony are the only two players to have won three gold medals.
Durant surpassed Carmelo Anthony’s previous record of 336 points to set the record for most points scored in USA men’s Olympic history at Tokyo 2020 in 2021.
At the age of 35, Durant currently has 435 points. If he breaks the record with Anthony for the most gold medals won by an Olympic male basketball player, he might make even more history in Paris in 2024.
Paris 2024 Olympic Debut for Steph Curry
Curry, a two-time MVP and four-time NBA champion, will compete in his first Olympics in Paris in 2024. The point guard for the Golden State Warriors withdrew from the Rio 2016 Olympics owing to knee and ankle ailments.
He had previously competed for the United States in international competition at the FIBA World Cup, where he won two gold medals.
