Phil Salt
Phil Salt of England is the first player from the 2024 IPL auction to go unsold. He has been a very visible player for numerous teams worldwide, serving as an opener in various Twenty20 divisions. He has established himself as an opener in recent seasons, even for England. The most surprising thing was that, despite having a base price of 2 crore, he did not sell at the auction. This is because he is the type of player who can quickly take the game away from the opposition thanks to his potent batting and outstanding wicketkeeping abilities.
He had several excellent knocks for the Delhi Capitals during the previous season. He struck out 163 times while scoring 218 runs. Throughout his career, he has had a significant impact on T20 cricket. With an impressive strike rate of 153, he has amassed 5240 runs in T20 cricket. A club that needs a top-order destructive hitter with strong glove work behind the stumps is likely to find it.
Fin Allen
Fin Allen, a young opener from New Zealand, was unsold in the mini-auction, but he might still have a chance in the IPL in 2024. He is another devastating top-order wicketkeeper hitter that was not bid on. He sat on the bench for RCB for the past few seasons, but he had no opportunities.
His magnificent century against Pakistan once again showcased his skills to the globe. When his luck is in, he can also win the match. He has participated in 110 T20 matches and amassed 3152 runs with a strike rate of 169.09 during his career. Given his skill and the form he showed against Pakistan, there is still a chance that some teams will summon him.
Josh Inglis
This energetic Australian wicketkeeper-batsman is the best choice for a club looking for a middle-order destructive wicketkeeper hitter. He has 360 games, the ability to win matches, and plays in the middle order. It was particularly stunning that even after Inglis’ outstanding century against India, he was not sold at the auction.
In addition to his stellar T20 cricket achievements, he is a BBL player for a Perth-based franchise. He has a 147.66 strike rate and has scored 2841 runs. His impressive performance against spin means he could get an opportunity in the IPL in 2024.
Matt Short
Matt Short is another Australian player who might be able to participate in the Indian Premier League despite not being sold at the mini-auction. He replaced Jonny Bairstow in the previous season, but he failed to impress with the bat and was eventually unsold at auction. His performance in T20 cricket has improved recently, as he has been bowling some vital spells and has been a fantastic batsman in the BBL.

Adil Rashid
Adil Rashid, the spin bowler for England, is the final player on our list. Adil was supposed to find a buyer, but sadly, no one chose him, and he too went unsold in the auction. Although he bowled some solid spells for SRH during the previous season, they released the wrist spinner in front of the IPL 2024 mini-auction.
If the team had placed a bid for the spinner, he might have been a steal at base pricing, but no one gave him any attention. Adil Rashid is a solid alternative for any side in case one of their spinners gets injured and they need a spinner.
