Les Unionistes would feel hard done, ending up in the Conference League. The club did well for themselves picking up eight points in the group stages. The Belgian outfit managed draws against Toulouse in both games. It was a 1-1 scoreline at home and 0-0 in the away game. They picked up wins against LASK and Liverpool against the odds in home fixtures through 2-1 score lines. In the Conference League Playoffs, things looked worrying for Union 60 as they conceded two goals within ten minutes of the 1st leg at home to Eintracht Frankfurt. Fenerbahce form analysis
Fenerbahce in all honesty underperformed in the Conference League by their lofty standards. The club kicked off the campaign brightly with a 3-0 win at home against Nordsjælland. Miguel Crespo, Batshuayi and Aziz found the back of the net that evening. King’s brace was enough for Fener to take all three points on the road, despite Ofori’s late goal for Spartak Trnava. They carried the winning form in the home fixture against Ludogorets. Batshuayi broke the deadlock, which was followed by Zajc’s brace to win it 3-1.
In the return leg, however, the club suffered a 2-0 loss against Ludogorets. Nordsjælland handed Fener their biggest embarrassment in this competition as they battered them in a 6-1 win. The 4-0 win at home Spartak Trnava, was enough for Efsane to progress to the Round of 16.
