On the recent episode of “Six Feet Under” podcast, The Undertaker revealed something interesting from WWE WrestleMania 40 and how Cody Rhodes decided to celebrate his historic undisputed WWE Universal Championship win. The American Nightmare got the biggest win of his career at WWE WrestleMania 40 on Sunday night when he dethroned Roman Reigns. Cody got a little help from his friends Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, John Cena and the legend himself, The Undertaker. All these superstars made cameo appearances to help Cody and to stop the members of The Bloodline during the match.
The Undertaker got a late-night mail from Cody
While the Deadman admitted that his cameo appearance gave him personal closure, the moment was entirely about Cody Rhodes. After the match, the new champion celebrated in the ring with several of the top babyfaces of WWE and called out Triple H and Bruce Prichard as well. But his celebration didn’t end there, as the Undertaker revealed on his podcast that he received a voicemail from the American Nightmare late at night.
“The night he won the title, he left me a voicemail. I think it was 3:49 in the morning. I made out about half of it. I believe he was having a good time that night. Well deserved. He has come full circle. I didn’t see him developing as the sports entertainer that he is. This is another example of motivation and not being content with where you are learning.”
The Deadman is impressed with Rhodes
Cody was in the company during Undertaker’s tenure as well and he was beginning to transition into a part-time wrestler. This allowed The Last Outlaw to see what Rhodes was like as a performer. During Taker’s time in the company, he has seen many wrestlers leave WWE for various reasons and now it appears that he has been impressed with how Rhodes has changed.
“From the marketing aspect to the business aspect, to connecting with its audience. He is not the same person as he was when he left. Not even close,” said Undertaker.

Rhodes was successful even post-WWE, as he worked around the world and was instrumental in the establishment of AEW. But now his focus is on making a great World Title run for the company. His first title defense will be against AJ Styles at the WWE Backlash.
