Alex Pereira Outscored by iShowSpeed on Punch Machine at Fanatics Fest
During a fan convention on Friday, UFC knockout artist Alex Pereira found himself surprisingly outscored on a punch machine by social media star iShowSpeed. The event, part of the Fanatics Fest, saw Pereira test his power on a standard punch machine, an exercise that previously saw him surpass the score of former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou on the UFC Performance Institute’s PowerKube, a device known for measuring punch velocity.
Pereira, who has built a reputation as one of the most dangerous strikers in mixed martial arts, recorded a solid score of 907 on the machine. However, it was iShowSpeed who stole the show. The streamer, known for his athletic prowess despite a smaller frame of around 5’8”, stepped up to the machine and remarkably scored 921, edging out Pereira.

Fans quickly took to social media to express their amazement, with many stunned by iShowSpeed’s ability to outscore a professional fighter like Pereira. The streamer, buoyed by the victory, celebrated with the crowd and humorously demanded a debut fight in the UFC, despite having little formal fight experience.
iShowSpeed’s confidence didn’t stop there. He directed his request to UFC President Dana White, asking for a fight with Pereira himself. “You said that you’re going to give me the fight, bro,” iShowSpeed told White, before rejecting the suggestion of facing a more suitable opponent like Adin Ross.

White, clearly taken aback, cautioned the streamer, saying, “That’s a bad idea, have you seen him? He’s here, I think when you see him you’ll change your mind.”
The idea of iShowSpeed challenging Pereira is, of course, far-fetched. Pereira’s power is legendary, as demonstrated earlier this year when he recorded an astonishing 191,796 units on the PowerKube, far surpassing Ngannou’s score of 129,161 from 2018. Pereira, who has defeated top UFC fighters such as Israel Adesanya and Jamahal Hill, remains one of the most feared competitors in the sport.
While iShowSpeed’s punch machine triumph was impressive, it’s clear that stepping into the octagon with someone of Pereira’s caliber is another matter entirely. The event, however, provided an entertaining glimpse into how unpredictably exciting cross-discipline challenges can be, even if only for fun.
