The historical event UFC 300 next year has finally got both a date and a venue. The pay-per-view event will be held on April 13, 2024, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The UFC president, Dana White, recently went live on Instagram and shared that fans won’t be in the dark for much longer. A clip from White’s Instagram live was shared on social media and it showed the CEO promising to reveal more details about what is expected to be 2024’s most notable MMA event.
“We will be announcing the 300 card soon. Very soon. Not the whole card, some of it. But yeah, so get ready for that too.” said White
Will McGregor headline the marquee event ?
MMA fans are curious about who will be featured on the UFC 300 card. Many are wondering whether the superstar, Conor McGregor, will headline the event. However, McGregor’s head coach, John Kavanagh, did not pay attention to those rumors. Despite the hopes for McGregor to return in April, Kavanagh claims that the powers have offered an alternate summertime date. However, on the other hand, Audie Attar, the president of Paradigm Sports, to which McGregor is affiliated, recently claimed that they are pushing for a UFC 300 headliner.
The Last Stylebender might be featured on the card
Another UFC star who could potentially headline the event is former Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya, who expressed his desire to do so before his loss to Sean Strickland. Unfortunately, “The Last Stylebender” has gone on a long rest, with no return date known. In terms of matchups, a bout between Flyweight queen Alexa Grasso and Strawweight champion Zhang Weili was teased after “Magnum” challenged Grasso to a title fight.
Many veterans are rumored to fight at UFC 300
Former MMA fighter Brendan Schaub recently proposed a conspiracy theory claiming that not only will Conor McGregor face Michael Chandler next year at the marquee event, but Georges St-Pierre will also face Nick Diaz. However, other veterans are also rumored to be fighting for the UFC 300 card. Former UFC Champions Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey are said to be considering a return. However, Dana White shut down the rumor, who believes that Rousey is not going to return to the sport. UFC veteran Jim Miller, who competed at both UFC 100 and 200, looks set to join UFC 300 after White recently admitted that “A-10” needs to be featured on the card.
