Brock Lesnar’s last appearance in the WWE ring was at SummerSlam 2023. It has been a year since his absence, so now WWE CEO Triple H recently spoke about “The Beast” and his future in the company. “The Game” stated that WWE will discuss with Brock whenever he decides to return.
The WWE CEO about Brock’s return
Triple H recently visited London to talk to the city’s mayor Sadiq Khan about hosting WrestleMania in the future. During that visit, Triple H was asked about Brock Lesnar in an interview with Mail Sport, he stated that only Brock can answer the question when he returns as “The Conqueror” lives by his own rules. Triple H thinks that Brock is probably in Canada, spending time with his kids and enjoying his life on his own terms. “If and when he decides that he would like to do something. We’d be open to the conversation, but we’ll see,” said Triple H.
Lesnar was set to face Dominik earlier
Earlier this year, there were rumors that Brock Lesnar would return to the WWE around Royal Rumble 2024. However, Lesnar’s name came up in the Janet Grant controversy, along with former WWE chairman, Vince McMahon. According to earlier plans, Brock would have been Dominik Mysterio’s opponent, leading to the Elimination Chamber and then he would have faced Gunther at WrestleMania 40. Both plans were canceled due to Lesnar’s unavailability.
The Beast is still one of the highest paid wrestler
Brock Lesnar’s return time is currently uncertain, even after a year. His last match in the WWE ring was against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost. Despite his absence from the company, he is still one of the highest-paid wrestlers in WWE. Once he returns, Gunther could be a big challenge for him. The Ring General is closely matched to Lesnar and has also previously expressed his interest in facing the Beast Incarnate in the WWE. The rising star Bron Breaker would be another great opponent for Lesnar. He has amazing athleticism and skills to keep up with Brock. The former Universal champion could push the young wrestler forward through a contest.
WWE is set to host this year’s SummerSlam on August 4 at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Ohio. The PLE has several highly anticipated matchups stacked on the match cards, like Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan, Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa and Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk.
