In one of the games of the Sophia T20I series between the associate nations, both teams combined to score 488 runs in 238 deliveries. Winning the toss and elected to field at the National Sports Academy, Sophia, Bulgaria failed to restrict Serbia’s batting lineup. Serbia got off to a flying start, scoring 66 runs from seven overs. Leslie Dunbar scored 117 from 50 deliveries to inflate the score to 242 for the loss of four wickets.
Chasing a big target of 243 runs, Hristo Lakov and Aravinda de Silva scored 45 runs from 5.2 overs before departing from the pitch. Saim Hussain and Kevin D’Souza scored half-centuries to take the team close to victory. Mukul Kadyan and Prakash Mishra scored the winning runs for the side with two deliveries to spare.
