In his latest podcast episode of 6 Feet Under with Mark Calaway, WWE legend Undertaker recently talked about the strong competition in the wrestling world that brings the best to the company. He hopes that AEW finds some ways to rise up, give competition to WWE and create a product that forces everyone to step up their game. However, Undertaker is not sure if AEW can do so, as it is run by Tony Khan. The former WWE star has been making some heated comments on his podcast and during a recent Q&A on his Patreon, he added another comment. While discussing the rivalry between WWE Raw and SmackDown in the past, he said that competition makes everyone improve.Â
The Undertaker questioned Tony Khanâs leadershipÂ
âHopefully one day AEW gets their crap together and genuinely creates some competition. Thatâs probably not a popular take from most WWE insiders, but the way I look at it, competitionâs only gonna make you better.â
When he asked about the competition between AEW and WWE and how Tony Khanâs promotion has so much talent but they are unable to generate ratings or increase their attendance, The Undertaker suggested that it is because of Tony Khan and his lack of leadership that the AEW product is still behind WWE.Â
“The Deadman” stated that he has nothing against Tony Khan, but he believes that AEW doesnât have a true leader in the locker room and he is not sure if Tony is the guy to run the promotion. The Undertaker also doubts if Tony Khan actually has the understanding to run a wrestling company against a power like WWE.Â
Wrestling fans agree with Takerâs opinionÂ
On social media platform X, many fans are supporting The Undertakerâs statement and stating that what he said is reasonable from a business perspective. One of the users wrote that Taker saying that really shows how much he loves this business. While another wrote that this should definitely be taken seriously.Â

Recently, Tony Khan posted on social media that he books wrestling for âsickosâ because thatâs who he is and what he cares about. If the plan is to grow AEW into an international product so that a mass audience can watch, there needs to be some understanding that crazy people will only generate so much revenue for AEW. Tony also needs to make sure his talent understands this as well.Â
