WWE was planning the return of a former WWE champion on Monday Night Raw. Jinder Mahal appeared at the beginning of the show, who is technically a former WWE champion, disappointing the WWE fans. However, fans trolling of the company stopped as The Rock’s music hit and he entered the ring.
The Rock began singing the national anthem, crafting his words and using insults to make his point to Mahal. That’s when Mahal jumped on The Rock and began attacking. But it didn’t take long for The Rock to fight back and finally rid the ring of the Maharaja.
The rock makes the audience crazy
Before The Rock was about to walk out, he asked the live crowd where should he sit he went out to eat in San Diego tonight. Stating that maybe he wanted to sit in a booth or in the bar, the bar got some excitement from the audience.
Then Dwayne asked, “Or should The Rock sit at the head of the Table?” This received a huge shout from the crowd, and then the commenter Wade Barrett told Paul Heyman to call out Roman Reigns, hinting that there was more to come.
Will The Rock fight Reigns at the Wrestlemania ?
Not only was this return a surprise, but there were some photos of Dwayne with Nick Khan that surfaced online earlier this week. But the mic drop by the Rock has sent the WWE Universe crazy, as it hinted at a possible main event match between The Rock and Roman Reigns.
This is not the first time he has teased a potential WrestleMania match with the Universal Champion, but it is the first time he has actually mentioned that match at a WWE event. It is still unclear whether this was a planned comment by WWE or if The Rock was just getting a feel for the idea of this matchup.
If Johnson is serious about this, it will be interesting to see if “The Tribal Chief” has any reaction on SmackDown in the coming weeks.
