ONE Championship is now preparing for a massive battle between two of the best strikers in Muay Thai. The highly anticipated Champion vs. Champion megafight between Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Superbon Singha Mawynn has been given the green light as the headlining act of ONE Fight Night 17 on December 8.
The bout was originally set to go down this month
The epic clash between two fearsome “The Art of Eight Limbs” strikers was set to go down at ONE FIGHT NIGHT 15 earlier this month, but Superbon was forced to pull out after suffering a calf injury during training. This most-awaited match-up is too good to pass up, and now the promotion is giving the fans what they want by rebooking this match-up.
Tawanchai will be coming off after winning two bouts
Tawanchai will be looking to defend his ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World title for the second time after competing under kickboxing rules in his last two fights. “The Bone Collector” demolished Davit Kiria at ONE Fight Night 12 last August. Tawanchai then faced off with Superbon’s ONE Fight Night 15 replacement, Jo Nattawut, but got the nod via unanimous decision after a hard-fought battle.
Superbon will look out to get back the title
The 33-year-old Superbon, on the other hand, will be looking to get back the title after losing his ONE featherweight kickboxing strap to Chingiz Alazov last January. Superbon returned with a bang at ONE FIGHT NIGHT 11 last June when he scored another spectacular head kick KO over the dangerous Tayfun Ozcan.

The bout will be between two of the most incredible kickers in the sport, which will undoubtedly produce an entertaining match. ONE Fight Night 17 is something you will definitely not want to miss out on.
