WWE Legends Who Might Appear On WrestleMania 40

WWE Legends Who Might Appear On WrestleMania 40

WWE usually gives big surprises to the crowd when WrestleMania takes place and creates a moment that gets the talk of the premium event trending. Since many casual fans tune into the biggest event of the year, the company often rekindles nostalgia through the appearances of WWE legends. WrestleMania 40 is just one week away and rumors have already begun to swirl about which former superstars might appear once again on the biggest wrestling stage.

Booker T

Booker T will definitely be a part of WrestleMania 40 in some form, as he is regularly present on the pre-show panels. However, the company may end up making  “Black Snow” part of the show, possibly as a guest commentator for one of the night’s matches. Last year, there were many people in WWE calling one-off matches and doing so again would prove to be a popular decision. Booker T currently does commentary with NXT, so adding him would be a great way to add another star to the event.

Jerry Lawler

Jerry Lawler is a well-known figure in professional wrestling as both a wrestler and a commentator. The WWE might have a role for him at WrestleMania 40. “Jerry the King” often makes one-off appearances for the company and seeing him join the show on the next weekend will definitely provide great nostalgia fun. Bringing Lawler to do guest commentary on one of the matches will be an interesting way to add a legend to the premium event.

Steve Austin

Steve Austin is one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step into the WWE ring. His inclusion on WrestleMania will always be an amazing deal. With the recent tease of his face shown behind The Rock during his feud with Cody Rhodes, there is much speculation that could help the American Nightmare at WrestleMania 40. If the Bloodline is in play for the second night, Rhodes will definitely be in need of some help, and no one knows The Rock better than Stone Cold. Having these two iconic stars feud will be a historic moment.

Kurt Angle

This year’s WrestleMania is being held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Kurt Angle appear in the event, who was born here. It would be easy for WWE to make a connection and a huge reaction from the crowd is guaranteed. “Wrestling Machine” is a beloved figure in wrestling, so his presence is always going to be big. WWE veterans have often been given roles announcing official appearances, it would be perfect for Kurt to appear at WrestleMania for this role.

John Cena

John Cena’s name has been in the news when it comes to appearing on WrestleMania 40. “The Cenation Leader” himself has added fuel to that fire by hinting at things. With Cody Rhodes potentially being outnumbered for night two of WrestleMania, having some veteran superstars as backup could be an interesting way to even the odds. The 16-time World Champion has a long history with Roman Reigns and his face was also recently shown during The Rock’s feud with Rhodes. Cena’s most recent match in WWE was also against Solo Sikoa, so the company might add him as the guy who will stop The Bloodline’s one of the men.

Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels is a veteran that the company can easily add to the event as he will be around for WrestleMania weekend due to his work with NXT. “Mr. WrestleMania” could be quickly added to the show for a backstage segment that would be a fun moment to keep things going between matches. Having him interact with a former NXT star or possibly even current general managers would be a way to tease NXT talent moving to the main roster.

The Undertaker

The Undertaker has a huge history with WrestleMania, so WWE fans always expect him to appear at the Show of the Shows. Although his gimmick makes it difficult to single him out for a quick segment, his mere entrance at WrestleMania gets people talking online. “The Deadman” doing an in-ring segment with a current star who is not currently booked for a match would give a great entertainment dose to the audience.

Rikishi

As The Bloodline Storyline is going currently, WWE can call out a lot of legends to make appearances as the family is big. However, when it comes to the match between Jimmy and Jey Uso, there is only one former wrestler who should be involved, and that is Rikishi. It is a bit surprising that “The Samoan Stinker” has not made any appearances as part of this storyline to date, considering he is their father. However, WrestleMania 40 would definitely be a notable time for the WWE Hall of Famer to make an appearance. Whether he tries to stop them from fighting each other or chooses a side.
