The New Orleans Pelicans suffered a loss in their last match against the Memphis Grizzlies, so now they will look to bounce back on Thursday. The Pelicans will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. The injury report for New Orleans has several names. Their power forward, Zion Williamson, has been listed as day-to-day with illness. However the report is not-covid related. Zion is questionable to play in Thursday’s name, but he appears likely to play as he has not missed time with injury this season. He was limited in his game with foul trouble. It appears “Zanos” may be struggling with some injury problems as well.
Pelican’s injury report contain several names
The New Orleans Pelicans’ injury report also includes the names of Cody Zeller, Jonas Valanciunas, Herbert Jones, Matt Ryan and Larry Nance. The Center Valanciunas is also questionable due to an illness. Jones’ illness has the same designation. The Pelicans will have all three players available unless their conditions worsen. All of them may also have limited sporting activity if their symptoms are severe.
The team will be without these players for some time
Cody Zeller is also questionable with a right ankle sprain. He was expected to return for Thursday’s game and could play. First, his condition will be monitored. The Pelicans had CJ McCollum return from injury. However, they will be without the other two players for a long time. Larry Nance Jr. is also still out with a rib fracture. He is expected to return around December 31 after being ruled out for four to six weeks. Matt Ryan will be back around January, as he underwent surgery to remove looseness in his right elbow.
Cavaliers are enduring several missing players as well
On the other hand, the Cleveland Cavaliers are enduring several missing players. Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, Ricky Rubio, and Ty Jerome are all out for long periods of time. Donovan Mitchell missed Tuesday’s game and is listed as day-to-day and questionable due to an illness. If Mitchell does not play this home game, the Cavaliers might be a little favorite for the match. It could be the opposite if the Pelicans are without three of their starters due to illness.
