UFC 298: Venue, Ticket Price, Timings, Fight Card & More

UFC 298 has been billed as the biggest MMA promotion ever and will return to Anaheim for the first time since UFC 270, which was Francis Ngannou’s final fight with the promotion, in January 2022. The event will be held on February 17, 2024. The early prelims are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. PST, the prelims at 5:00 p.m. PST, and the main card at 7:00 p.m. The event will be aired on both ESPN and ESPN+. 

 

UFC 298 will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, marking the UFC’s 10th visit to the region. For the fans who want to attend the event, tickets will range from $333 to $3,500.

 

Fight Card for UFC 298

The event will be headlined by a bout between featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, who will be defending his title for the fifth time and No.5-ranked Ilia Topuria. The co-main event will feature a bout between No. 2 ranked Bantamweight Merab Dvalishvili and No. 3 ranked bantamweight and former double champion Henry Cejudo. While No.3 ranked Middleweight Robert Whittaker will face No. 6 ranked middleweight Paulo Costa. 

 

The two were first scheduled to face off at the UFC on ESPN 22 and UFC 284. However, “The Eraser” backed out of the former and claimed he never signed a contract for the latter. 

 

No.9-ranked Heavyweight Tai Tuivasa, who is coming off three consecutive losses, will look to make a comeback when he faces No.10-ranked heavyweight Marcin Tybura.

No. 8-ranked Welterweight Geoff Neal will face No. 10-ranked welterweight Ian Machado Gary at the event. The two men were originally scheduled to face each other at UFC 292. However, Neal was forced to withdraw from the match due to health problems. The pair was booked once again for UFC 299, but ultimately the bout was shifted to UFC 298. 

 

No. 3-ranked women’s strawweight Tatiana Suarez and No. 4-ranked women’s strawweight Amanda Lemos will also face off at UFC 298. Other fights feature No. 14-ranked middleweight Anthony Hernandez facing off Ikram Aliskerov and No. 14-ranked heavyweight Marcos Rogerio de Lima against Justin Tafa. No. 15-ranked women’s flyweight Andrea Lee will face Miranda Maverick.

Additionally, unranked light heavyweights Zhang Mingyang and Brandon Ribeiro will clash, as will unranked welterweights Yusaku Kinoshita and Danny Barlow. Unranked Bantamweights Rinya Nakamura and Brady Hiestand will also be facing each other. There will also be an unranked middleweight bout between A.J. Dobson and Tresean Gore and an unranked welterweight bout between Oban Elliott and Valentine Woodburn.
