Finally long wait of Cricket Enthusiast is over as the revised Schedule of ODI World Cup 2023 has been released. In total nine fixtures dates & timings have been changed in the announced schedule. And as anticipated IND vs PAK fixture will now be played on October 14 instead of October 15 at Ahmedabad. The changes in the schedule have been confirmed by the ICC just two months ahead of the beginning of the marquee event.
Which teams fixtures have been changed in the Revised ODI World Cup 2023 Schedule
Three prominent teams, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and England, find themselves at the center of the alterations, as three matches for each side have undergone date changes. Iconic India vs Pakistan clash will now kickstart on 14th October instead of 15th October.
Due to the change in IND vs PAK fixture, Pakistan’s match against Sri Lanka has been rescheduled from October 12 to October 10. This move has been undertaken to provide adequate preparation time to Pakistan leading up to the India game, As a consequence, the clash between Australia and South Africa has been advanced a day, now slated to take place on October 12 instead of October 13.
Another alteration sees the England-Afghanistan showdown, moving from October 14 to October 15. The fixture between New Zealand and Bangladesh also receives a twist, with their encounter in Chennai transitioning from a day game on October 14 to a captivating day-night spectacle on October 13. Meanwhile, the England-Bangladesh clash in Dharamsala remains on October 10, albeit in a different light – now scheduled as a day game rather than a day-night affair.
The scheduling shuffle in the revised ODI World Cup 2023 Schedule extends to November as well, with the double-header on November 12 – featuring Australia vs Bangladesh in Pune and England vs Pakistan in Kolkata – now rescheduled for November 11. This adjustment came about due to concerns raised by the Kolkata police, who wished to avoid a clash with the Hindu festival of Kali Puja.

The League stage of the ODI World Cup will culminate with a clash between India and Netherlands in Bengaluru on November 12 instead of the initial November 11. The eagerly anticipated World Cup extravaganza is set to kick off on October 5, with defending champions England facing off against New Zealand in Ahmedabad. The tournament’s grand finale is scheduled for November 18, also in Ahmedabad, with the semi-finals scheduled for November 15 and 16 in Mumbai and Kolkata, respectively.

In a bid to enhance accessibility for fans, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that tickets for the event will be available online starting from August 25.
