The 2022–23 NBA season was epic, just like any other season, and full of stellar moments. We saw many players showing off their skills on the court. Unfortunately, there were a few players who missed the season but will be returning to the sport soon. Not all players who missed the previous season were injured; some were just struggling to adjust to new teams, but now they are all set to make a comeback.
Ben Simmons
Last season, Simmons was traded by the Philadelphia 76ers, but his first season with the Brooklyn Nets was a disaster with many on-court issues, and he still has the same problems. Now fans are expecting him to take over for the Nets and become reliable. There have been many reports that Ben is back to his same excellence level as when he was with the 76ers. His fans are looking forward to watching him in action at the highest level.
Chet Holmgren
Chet Holmgren didn’t have a good season on court in 2022–23. At the beginning of the season, he injured his leg during a Pro-Am with NBA star LeBron James. The Oklahoma City Thunder fans missed Holmgren’s talent last season, but luckily they will be able to see his action on the court during Summer League.
Zion Williamson
Zion Williamson only played 29 games last season and still wasn’t able to make an impact. When he was fit, the New Orleans Pelicans were able to acquire the top spot in the Western Conference, but due to his absence, they fell in the standings. Before the start of the 2022–23 season, Williamson signed a five-year contract for $231 million. The Pelicans will now be expecting him to stay healthy for the next season.
Karl-Anthony Towns
The Minnesota Timberwolves faced a number of problems last season with their team and Towns, too. Karl only played 29 games last season, just like Zion, because he injured his right calf during the match with the Washington Wizards. The three-time All-Star was able to return before the end of the season but did not have enough time to regain her rhythm on the court. This time he will be beginning the season as a healthy player, which will help him gain momentum right from the start.
Steven Adams
Steven Adams has been a valuable asset for the Memphis Grizzlies, who have high hopes for the title. Adams only played 42 games last season and wasn’t able to play a single game in the postseason, leaving the team’s internal defense vulnerable. The veteran was ruled out with a knee injury and hasn’t been fit since the end of January. But now he is expected to make a comeback for action in the next season.
