PAK vs AUS 2nd Test: Pakistan’s ritual of poor fielding continues as the Men in Green are creating a new record of dropped catches. Shan Masood led the Test team have dropped crucial catches in the first test against Australia. And instead of improving their fielding & coming back stringer their poor acrobatic skills continue in the second Test as well. On the first day of the second Test at MCG, Pakistan dropped a crucial catch which didn’t go well with their fans.
In the third over of the first day of the second Test, Abdullah Shafique who was positioned at the first slip dropped a simple catch of prolific batter David Warner. The mistake could have proved costly for Pakistan as David Warner on the crease is no less than a lion roaming freely in bushes. Even Captain Shaheen Afridi was not happy with Abdullah’s poor fielding efforts but didn’t utter a word to Shafique.
The catch meant Warner walking pack to the Pavilion for just 2 runs. Warner was later dismissed by Agha Salman for 38 but Pakistan could have had got off to a brilliant start had the opening batter’s catch taken in the third over.

However, unlike Shaheen fans couldn’t keep their calm & stop themselves from trolling Pakistan. Fans flooded X website previously known as Twitter with harsh comments. Let’s have a look at some of them.

Cricket pundits & experts believe that if Pakistan wants to become the No. 1 team in World Cricket the first thing they need to do is improve their fielding skills. If they manage to do that then they could become one of the best teams in World Cricket.
AUS vs PAK 2nd Test: What’s going on in the Fixture?
Coming to the fixture, at the time of working on this article, Australia was batting in the first innings with Warner, Usman Khawaja (42), and Steve Smith (26) back to the hut. Salman scalped his first wicket of the day by removing Warner from the pitch. Then came Hasan Ali who dismissed Khawaja while Aamer Jamal got rid of Smith, resulting in three wickets down for Pakistan.
Pakistan had to bowl exceptionally if wrapping Aussie’s innings to a low score on their agenda list. They have to win the second Test after facing a humiliating 360-run defeat in the first Test. If they want to level the series & keep themselves alive in the race of victory then they had to win the second Test as a loss in Melbourne means they will hand an unassailable 2-0 lead in the Test series.
Can Pakistan hold their nerves & produce their A game in the second Test? Or their fielding woes will cost them this fixture? Share with us what you think & what can be the result of this fixture.
