What did Nottinghamshire’s Head Coach say about Young’s signing

“Will adds valuable experience to our batting group, especially with the potential loss of Ben Duckett to England for large portions of the season,” Peter Moores, Nottinghamshire’s head coach, said.
“Last season, he truly demonstrated his prowess on the field, showcasing not just his ability to score runs but also the graceful manner in which he achieved them. His composed style not only contributes stability to our Championship team but also provides invaluable tactical support to our captain, Haseeb Hameed,” Peter Moores added to his statement.
Speaking about the deal, Young said that he had an enjoyable experience with Nottinghamshire in the first round so the offer to play for the club & in front of the members at Trent Bridge was a good move.
Being out there on the field, playing white-ball games with the electrifying energy of a packed Trent Bridge crowd was a compelling draw for me. It’s an exceptional setting for a batsman, and I’m eager to play my part in pushing the team to new heights in the upcoming 2024 Blast, Young added to his statement.
Will Young further said that spending more time within the team offers the opportunity to share valuable experiences with fellow players and gain insights from the coaching staff and teammates at Notts. Further, he said that the squad is poised at an exciting juncture to enhance their accomplishments from the previous season. In the past, Young has been part of both Durham and Northamptonshire in the County Championship.
