Recently, the President of the UFC, Dana White, discussed the possibility of Ronda Rousey’s return to the UFC after spending years in the WWE. On July 1, Rousey and Shayna Baszler were the Women’s Tag Team Champions at Money in the Bank, but Baszler betrayed her partner at the live event, and as a result, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez won the title.
Ronda suffered a loss at SummerSlam
This was followed by a match between Baszler and Rousey in an MMA rules match at SummerSlam. Shayna picked up the win by locking Rousey in a submission hold. “Rowdy” refused to submit but passed out in the middle of the ring, which ended the match. After this loss, Rousey claimed on Instagram that she had no reason to be in the WWE anymore.
Dana was asked about the possibility of Ronda’s return
When Dana White was interviewed by Sports Illustrated, he was asked about the possibility of Ronda Rousey’s return to MMA. Dana dismissed the question by saying that Rousey is now starting a family and has made enough money, so there is no chance.
“She accomplished everything she set out to do. Her dream was to win the UFC Championship, then the WWE Championship, and she has done it. Now she is starting a family. Ronda made a lot of money, and she is still making a lot of money from sponsorships,” Said the UFC president.
Eric made a big claim
Earlier, Eric Bischoff claimed that Ronda was busted during her tenure in the WWE. During his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric said, “She is a big personality and very credible, but I never felt like Ronda really wanted to be there. It was a great opportunity for her, and I think she wanted it, but for me, since day one, I never felt like Ronda wanted to be there. I hope she did.”
The former bantamweight champion has accomplished a lot during her professional wrestling career. Rousey is a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, a former Raw Women’s Champion, and once held a Women’s Tag Team Championship. The 36-year-old also won the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Ronda’s WWE career started with a lot of expectations but had a bittersweet ending. Her fans can only wait to see if she ever decides to make a comeback.
