The UFC roster is huge, and it keeps expanding. New faces appear on almost every card, whether they join as short-notice opening fillers or as just straight additions. In this article, we will tell you about the list of fighters who were added to the UFC roster in July and will be having matches later this year.
Josiah Harrell
The 24-year-old Harrell is from the Welterweight class. The past month has been a busy one for Harrell. After tackling an opponent through the cage door at an LFA event, he received a short-notice offer for a fight against Della Maddalena at UFC 290. Harrell went to Las Vegas, but a pre-match medical examination revealed that he has a potentially life-threatening brain disease, so the fight was cancelled, but he will remain on the UFC roster while waiting for the brain surgery. Harrell has also vowed that he will make a comeback to the UFC, he already has a record of 7-0 on his resume.
Bogdan Guskov
Bogdan is in the light heavyweight category; he was born in Uzbekistan and competed in Eastern Europe while climbing the MMA ladder. He is part of the wave of three fighters from the gym and is entering the UFC with a 100 percent finishing rate in wins, which includes 12 knockouts and two submissions. The 30-year-old has signed a straight-up contract.
Rhys McKee
The Welterweight class fighter had his first promotional stint in 2020, which came to an end after only two bouts against Khamzat Chimaev and Alex Morono, respectively. Mckee then immediately started to rebuild. He defeated Alexi Mantikivi by knockout and then beat Justin Burlinson to win the vacant Cage Warriors Welterweight Championship. In April, the 27-year-old successfully defended his title with a doctor stoppage victory over Alum Jim Wallhead. He currently holds a record of 13 wins, four losses, and one draw.
Yanis Ghemmouri
Ghemmouri has signed a straight-up contract for the upcoming UFC fight night in Paris. He is all set to compete among the French fighters. The promotional newcomer, Ghemmouri, is a teammate of UFC lightweight Fares Ziam. Before signing with the UFC, he used to compete for Brave CF, where he remained undefeated with two knockout wins in three matches.
Bassil Hafez
Bassil has signed a short-notice contract with the UFC. He faced Jack Della Maddalena in his debut fight but didn’t win. Despite losing the match, Hafez gained lots of fans for his effort. After this, Hafeez not only held his ground, but he also had a lot of success in the fight and even won the fight on one Judge’s scorecard. Regardless of the result, The 31-year-old Welterweight and former CFFC Champion grew his stock rapidly.
Charlie Radtke
Charlie Radtke has dominated the past two years in the CFFC, and now is his time to shine in the UFC. The 33-year-old is currently on a streak of four fight wins. He is the CFFC welterweight champion and has earned five finishes in seven professional matches. Now he will travel across the globe for his first promotional fight in September against Michael Tambirai Mathetha.
Mairon Santos
Mairon Santos is a featherweight fighter. Needing a replacement on a few days notice, Santos signed with the UFC to fight the tall featherweight Sean Woodson. The 23-year-old Mairon is a Brazilian fighter who has won some major regional victories for LFA, ARES FC, and Shoot Brazil. He has a record of 13 wins and one loss. Out of his 13 victories, Santos has won seven by strikeout.
Caolan Loughran
Louhran signed a straight-up contract with the UFC. He will make his debut on September 2 in a bout against Loughran. A few weeks after Shauna Bannon joined Ian Gary and Conor McGregor in the UFC, Loughran entered the mix. The Cage Warriors Bantamweight Champion at the time of his contract won his title by knocking out Dylan Hazan in the second round. This TKO was Caolan’s seventh match. He holds the record of six wins and one loss.
Val Woodburn
Middleweight Fighter Val Woodburn will be competing in Dana White’s Contender Series this summer. When Val got the UFC opportunity, he jumped at it. Although his debut against Bo Nickal lasted only 38 seconds, he has still earned his opportunity. He has amazing finishing abilities, and with that, he dominated the Florida-based promotion’s Fight Night. All of his pre-UFC bouts came under that promotion. He earned his five wins and 185-pound belt there.
