However, this was the only success he had that night, as Lewis used his long reach to dominate and defeat the veteran with a knockout in the eighth round.

The 2006 clash between Oscar De La Hoya and Ricardo Mayorga was an interesting one. On one hand, Mayorga dominated the trash talk, leaving “The Golden Boy” angrier than ever. However, in the ring, it was Oscar who dominated the fight. When the battle took place, the Mexican boxer easily defeated his opponent. He scored two knockdowns over Mayorga for a sixth-round knockout victory.
3. Joe Calzaghe vs. Jeff Lacy
The fight between Calzaghe and Lacy was considered career-defining for both of them. The super-middleweight champions looked to consolidate the gold. Despite a lot of hype, the battle turned out to be one-sided. Calzaghe dominated every minute of the fight and ended up defeating the “Left Hook ” early on. The Welsh fighter successfully retained his title by a one-sided unanimous decision, winning every round.
