IND vs SA 1st Test: India’s star batter, Virat Kohli convinced Rohit Sharma to take a DRS on caught-behind during the ongoing first Test match against South Africa on Wednesday. In reply to India’s good-looking score of 244 runs on a difficult pitch, South Africa batted beautifully and took an 11-run lead at the end of day 2 of the Test match.
Former Test skipper, Dean Elgar led the way with the bat. Despite wickets falling at one end, he stood firm and kept the pressure back on the visitors. The southpaw, once again, showed his class by grinding out with the bat on a difficult pitch.
Indian bowlers, though, did manage to pick up five wickets during the innings. Prasidh Krishna took the fifth wicket of Kyle Verreynne in the 62nd over of the innings. The ball was pitched short but it bounced more than expected and the batted edged it to the keeper.
However, the umpire did not give it out as he seemingly didn’t hear the edge. It was Virat Kohli, who then told Rohit Sharma to take the review. The Indian captain obliged straightway and went for the DRS. The video of the same has been doing the rounds on social media.
