Former Pakistani cricketer, Javed Miandad has finally opened up about his connection with Dawood Ibrahim, following the news of the hospitalization of India’s most wanted Dawood Ibrahim. The former Pakistani cricketer has finally given his statement on this whole saga. Miandad allegedly dismissed the reports of his house arrest & denied any connection with Dawood Ibrahim.
Mianadad has denied the news of his house arrest by claiming it false. And when asked about Dawood Ibrahim’s condition he denied commenting on it by saying that he would not say anything about Dawood Ibrahim. Any update about the most wanted gangster will be given by the Pakistani government.
Is there any connection between Miandad & Dawood Ibrahim?
As per reports, Dawood Ibrahim is in connection with former cricketer Javed Miandad. For the unversed Miandad’s son got married to Dawood’s daughter & when this wedding happened it stirred a storm on both sides of the border.
Dawood is one of the most wanted gangsters in India who is reportedly hiding in Pakistan. On Monday the news of Dawood being poisoned by an unknown person created a storm on the internet. As per the reports he was immediately rushed to a hospital in Karachi & there are reports of Dawood’s condition being critical & being kept under strict security. Other media reports are saying that Dawood is fine & is living safely in a house in Karachi.
Who is Javed Miandad?
Pakistani Cricketer Javed Miandad is the legend of his time. He retired in 1996 after having played 124 Tests, 233 ODIs & 402 first-class fixtures. Miandad has amassed 8832 runs in the test format & 7381 runs in the ODI format. He is chosen as one of the best cricketers Pakistan has ever produced.
Miandad has many close friends in India including Kapil Dev & Sunil Gavaskar who were a part of the Indian cricket team during Miandad’s playing days. He has accused Indian media of printing baseless & vague stories regarding the marriage of his son Junaid to Dawood’s daughter Mahrukh. As per the reports, Junaid got married to Mahrukh in Karachi on August 5, 2005. There was a reception after their wedding & Dawood reportedly gave both events a miss as he didn’t want to feature in wedding pictures & get into the limelight. Miandad has made controversial comments on India & has always been on Indian media’s radar.
Talking about Dawood, he was accused of bomb blasts in 1993 which killed around 250 people while injuring many. The blasts gave birth to many riots in Mumbai & all over the country. Since that, there have been reports of Dawood being hidden in Pakistan & staying there as a resident.
