The war between ONE Strawweight World Champion Jared Brooks and his former rival Hiroba Minowa is still not over. This Friday night, Jared will return to the cage and fight to add another ONE World title to his resume. He will take on the defending ONE Flyweight Submission Champion, Micky Musumeci.
Jared is still not over his former foe
This fight is much anticipated as both fighters will be participating in ONE Fight Night 13, which is going to be held in the famed Lumpini Boxing Stadium. Ahead of his bout with the five-time IBJJF World Champion, Jared Brooks shared his thoughts on the state of the Strawweight Division. He especially mentioned his former rival, Hiroba Minowa, who is currently ranked No. 3 in the top five rankings. ‘The Monkey God’ had nothing good to say about him except calling Minowa a straight-up cheater.
The Monkey God’s words for Minowa
“Hiroba Minowa, I don’t know how he is still in the top five. He got tough with me, and he could take a punch. But in my personal opinion, That man is a cheater. He goes out of his way to try to show that he has done something so that he can either give you points or else the person will be disqualified. Jared further said, “I’ve seen that in almost every fight with Hiroba Minowa. He might as well drop out of the top five and give somebody else a chance”.
Minowa has lost two consecutive matches
