Jake Paul challenged Sean Strickland to a $1 million spar

American influencer Jake Paul has challenged Sean Strickland to a $1 million match after watching a viral clip of “Tarzan” brutally beating streamer Sneako. UFC Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin intervened to save Sneako from Strickland. The former UFC champion accepted Sneako’s invitation to box at the UFC Performance Institute. However, Sneako quickly learned that Sean was not backing down in the ring. Despite enduring several hard punches, Sneako held on until outside observers threw the towel. Strickland ignored their actions and continued to attack until Griffin stepped in to stop the fight. “The Problem Child” was not impressed and challenged Strickland.

Sneako’s ability to withstand the former UFC champion’s attack impressed many, but Jake sees it as a sign of Strickland’s poor boxing skills. Paul challenged Strickland to a spar on Twitter and criticized him for targeting inexperienced opponents. Paul offered to fly Strickland to Puerto Rico for the fight on camera, with a $1 million prize if Strickland wins but the consequences of a tattoo if he loses.

“I’ll fly you to Puerto Rico and we can fight on camera… If you win I’ll give you $1 million (half your net worth). But if get dropped you have to get Betr tattooed on you.” wrote Jake Paul

Strickland accepted the challenge, citing Paul’s loss to Tommy Fury. Jake accused Strickland of being a bully and vowed to teach him a lesson. Strickland responded with harsh words, including a veiled threat, before proposing to perform in the desert, away from the cameras.

The Problem child criticized Strickland

Paul attempted to analyze Strickland’s aggressive rhetoric, suggesting that it arose from insecurity rather than confidence. Despite the heated offer and verbal exchange, it remains uncertain whether Strickland will go to Puerto Rico to make an official fight unlikely, especially given his status as an active UFC fighter under contract.

The next venture in Jake Paul’s professional boxing career is scheduled to begin on March 2 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His opponent for this match is retired boxer Ryan Borland, who has a record of 17 wins, 2 losses and 0 draws. Bourland, aged 35, is a former Golden Gloves champion, National Junior Olympian and two-time GBO light heavyweight champion. After coming out of retirement in 2022, Borland is returning to face Paul. The bout marks Jake’s return to the ring following his impressive knockout victory over Andre August in December 2023. Scheduled for eight rounds, the fight will serve as the co-main event with a clash between Amanda Serrano and Nina Meinke.
