The Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) schedule will likely come out in two phases, as per the recent reports that have surfaced. As per a recent report by Sports Tiger, it has been understood that the tournament will be held in two phases because of the general elections taking place this summer.
IPL 2024 Schedule Tentative Date Slot
It is believed that the tournament is set to take place from 22nd March to 26th May 2024. The report also claimed the BCCI is likely to come up with the schedule once the election dates are announced in the country.
As for now, the preparations are going in full swing for the much-anticipated second season of the Women’s Premier League. Defending champions Mumbai Indians will take on Delhi Capitals in the opening match of the league on 23rd February 2024. The final will take place on 17th March 2024 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Speaking of the IPL 2024 the cricket carnival will, once again, see 10 teams clash against each other to claim the trophy. Chennai Super Kings won last year’s edition after beating Gujarat Titans in the final and, thereby, claimed their fifth IPL title in the tournament’s history.
With that win, Chennai Super Kings levelled with Mumbai Indians to claim the most number of titles in the Indian Premier League. Both teams now have 5 titles each and will be vying for their sixth one in the upcoming edition.
The newly entered franchise Gujarat Titans have had a dream start, managing a trophy in the first edition and becoming the runners-up in the second innings. However, they will be playing under a new captain Shubman Gill as Hardik Pandya has gone back to his old Mumbai Indians franchise. It remains to be seen how the franchise will cope with the departure of Pandya.
legendary skipper, MS Dhoni will once again step on the field leading the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. The fans would want him to play all the matches in the season and, hopefully, lead his team to one more title.
Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Fans are celebrating their team’s heroic performance in the third Test against England in Rajkot. Two Test matches are still left to be played and India needs to win only one out of those to claim the series.
