ODI World Cup 2023 is over now & the entire focus has now been shifted to IPL 2024 which is just a few months away from commencement. Ahead of the much-anticipated league, the mini-auction is all set to take place in Dubai on December 19. The BCCI has not confirmed the venue for the IPL 2024 auction but still franchisees have started the planning & plotting for the anticipated auctions. Some renowned franchises have started the process of releasing & trading the players ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. There has been just one official trading so far but there are some speculations made around the players who will either be released or traded.

Avesh Khan moves to Rajasthan Royal, Padikkal comes to Lucknow Super Giants
There comes a major swap in the IPL history! RR & LSG traded their star players ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Padikkal who is a top-order batter couldn’t fit the Rajasthan Royals scheme for the last two seasons while LSG required a top-order batter. So they thought of shaking hands & trading their top two players with each other. RR welcomed Avesh Khan who will bolster their pace attack while LSG bolstered their top order by welcoming Devdutt Padikkal to their lineup.
Will Rajasthan Royals release Ben Stokes?
There comes breaking news from the Rajasthan Royals franchise as they are all set to release Ben Stokes ahead of the IPL 2024 Auction. Stokes was brought for a whopping price of Rs 16.25 crore in the last auction.  However, the prolific player is all set to undergo knee surgery & his chances of featuring in IPL 2024 are low. After the IPL 2024, the marquee T20 World Cup 2024 is all set to be played in the USA and West Indies. And there are chances that Stokes give priority to the T20 World Cup & not feature in IPL 2024. If Stokes doesn’t clear his stance ahead of the cash-rich league then there are chances that the management will release him for 16 crores in the upcoming auction.
CSK management has confirmed that they would consider releasing Stokes if he couldn’t be available for the entire IPL 2024. He is a big match player & we hold him in the highest regard. However, they further said that if he can’t make it to the IPL 2024 then they can’t retain him as they can utilize that 16 crores for acquiring the services of some other quality players.
KKR to release Lockie Ferguson ahead of IPL 2024 Auction
There are reports of Kolkata Knight Riders planning to release New Zealand’s pace sensation Lockie Ferguson ahead of the cash-rich league. Ferguson was brought by Gujarat Titans for a huge sum of Rs 10 crores. But last year, Ferguson was traded to Kolkata Knight Riders. Now there comes the latest update ahead of IPL 2024 auctions. KKR is planning to release Ferguson ahead of the much anticipated IPL 2024 auction. There is also news of KKR releasing their star all-rounder Andre Russell before the IPL 2024 auction.
Delhi Capitals to Release Manish Pandey & Sarfaraz Khan
Delhi Capitals who had a forgetful season in IPL 2023 are planning to release their star players Sarfaraz Khan and Manish Pandey ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Delhi capitals bought the services of Pandey for a whopping 2.40 crores & Sarfaraz for 20 lakhs. But the duo couldn’t make much difference in the IPL 2023 & thus the franchisee has decided to release the duo ahead of the Indian Premier League 2024 auctions.
Royal Challengers Bangalore is also planning to release one of their key players, Harshal Patel ahead of the IPL 2024 auction.
